This year, readers chose Playa Zarautz as the ‘Best Beach in Spain 2024.’ Zarautz Beach, located in the town of the same name in the eastern part of the Urola Costa region in Gipuzkoa, is the longest beach on the Basque coast, stretching 2,500 meters.
The beach is renowned for its waves, which attract surfers from around the globe, its charming promenade, lively atmosphere, distinctive beach tents, natural surroundings, fine sand, and the local bars and restaurants, making Zarautz a highly desirable summer destination.
