Serious Ski Lift Accident at Spanish Ski Resort
A serious accident took place on Saturday morning, January 18, at Astún ski resort in Huesca, Spain, when a ski lift cable derailed on the busy Canal Roya slope. Emergency crews responded quickly, carrying out rescue operations for those trapped.

Two others with minor injuries were sent to hospitals in Huesca and Jaca, while four more were taken to Jaca for precautionary checks. In total, about 40 people were affected.
Emergency teams treated over 15 people on-site, most of whom were later discharged. The most severe injuries include head trauma, abdominal injuries, and a fracture.
